Why we collect some personal data

Customising our tours

We organise our nature tours for small groups and as custom tours for you or your family. Even when you participate in a group tour, we like to customise our tours to your wishes and interests when possible. During our tours, we may walk off the beaten tracks and even go cross-country. For our planning, we need to take your abilities into account. Delicious local food is an important part of most of our tours, and we are well aware that you may have dietary requirements. For all these reasons we may ask you for private data. We use your data only for the planning our tours and for general statistics of our tours (for instance: how many participants do we have and how many overnight stays).

Forwarding personal data to external providers

Sometimes, we need to forward some of your data to third parties, who are providers in our tours. These are for instance restaurants, accommodations and external guides. In these cases, we only give the most necessary data, which are not personalized. For instance: “in our group of six participants we have two vegetarians and one person who has a gluten allergy, please take this into account when you prepare meals for our group”. We do not provide your name, address or contact data to external providers unless we have your explicit permission. However, they may ask you for your data when this is legally obliged, for instance for Tourist Tax.

Use of photographs

We often need to show how our tours look like, for instance on this website and on presentations for our contacts and external providers. Most of our pictures show aspects of nature rather than people. However, we also use some pictures which show how participants experience our tours. For this, we ask you to sign a statement at the beginning of our tours. With this statement, you allow us to use pictures which include you, taken during our tours. We value everyone’s integrity and we will never show any pictures which might be perceived as embarrassing or private. Instead, our pictures are intended to show our groups enjoying nature in Slovenia, as well as the general group atmosphere during our tours.
