Lake Bled, and why we will not take you there

Every now and then we receive a request to include Lake Bled in our tours. Google shows beautiful pictures of a pristine lake in the middle of unspoilt nature. The lake is also one of the best known travel destinations in Slovenia. This is why we will not take you there:

  1. You can easily go here yourself. If there is any place with a well-developed tourism structure, it is Lake Bled.
  2. We do not think that Lake Bled is pristine nature: there are many places where we’d love to take you which are much more natural
  3. Because it is so well known, prices tend to be higher around Lake Bled (including payed parking everywhere around the lake)
  4. In summer, it can take time to navigate the busy tourist traffic around the lake
  5. In summer, many people go to Lake Bled. We prefer quieter places, often during our tours, we see no other people. This, of course, greatly increases our chances to see wildlife.

So, if you are like us and love to see beautuful, natural places in Slovenia, and you do not mind skipping Lake Bled, we may just have the perfect offer for you.
